PERCEPTION FILTER (noun)

   Current.


A new term that describes certain phenomena associated with the Misery-Makers, specifically the ability to change what people see. Certain Misery-Makers have been able to walk down the street during daylight, in plain view of hundreds of people, and have been noticed only by one person.

The term comes from the television program Doctor Who.

   Example: he was the only one who could see it, see past its deception, its perception filter, see the true monster.


Other terms: SEP field, going dim, blindfold, scales of darkness (old).

  1. If you're familiar with Percy Jackson and the Olympians, it's basically like the Mist.

    Sometimes the Perception Filter also expands to Runners carrying items associated with eldritch beings, or near said beings.
